Discovering Chile 9 days / 8 nights

  • Day 1 Santiago de Chile

    Arrive in Santiago, Capitol of Chile. Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon half day city tour: visiting the main attractions of Santiago de Chile: Bernardo O´Higgins Avenue (also called “Alameda”), the Providencia District, the Cerro San Cristóbal, Metropolitano Park, Forestal Park, the Bellas Artes Museum, Armas Square with its cathedral, Town Hall of Santiago. The tour continues its way to the most antique area of Santiago, where there are amazing mansions of different styles. Return to the Hotel.

  • Day 2 Santiago de Chile

    Breakfast at hotel and departure for a Half Day Wine Tour. Transfer from your hotel to San Fernando. Around 10 AM you’ll start a trip in the Wine train to Santa Cruz. On the way you have the opportunity to taste local wines and cheeses. Upon arrival we will visit Colchagua’s museum and take lunch in a local vineyard. In the afternoon you’ll have a guided tour in the vineyard with wine tasting included. Afterwards you’ll take a cable car to the observatory and visit the Aymara, Mapuche and Rapa Nui’s villages. Return to your hotel.

  • Day 3 Santiago de Chile / Calama / San Pedro

    Transfer to the airport to fly to Calama. Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama upon arrival. This afternoon, we will do the Half Day Moon Valley & Death Valley, one of the best-known destinations between Calama and San Pedro.. With the Licancabur volcano providing the backdrop, strange salt and rock formations in the middle of the valley’s barren sandy landscape really do look like a moonscape. After a tour past the bizarre natural rock and salt shapes, you will ascend a lookout point on a giant sand dune where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley and the Licancabur volcano. Then, you pass by the bizarre rock formation “Tres Marías” and end the excursion at “Coyote´s rock” (“Piedra del Coyote”). From the top of this rock, you overlook the Kari-Canyon and wide parts of the desert; you can even catch a glimpse at the Salar de Atacama. The setting sun bathes the landscape in a light that changes with every minute, providing a mesmerizing play of colors. The return drive to San Pedro is after sunset.

  • Day 4 San Pedro / Lagoons and Salt Lake / San Pedro

    At 07:00h departure from your hotel. Visit the town of Toconao where you can observe cultural handcrafting. Afterwards we will visit the Atacama Salt Lake, where we will have breakfast in front of the Chaxa Lagoon, the National Flamingo Reserve. We continue towards the Pukará de Quitor and The Ruins of Tulor. Afterwards we will take a tour to the Moon Valley, where we can see the salt-statues "Three Maries", the Salt-mine, the outlook, and the salt-caves. From here we will enjoy an unforgettable sunset from the big sand dune. Return to San Pedro.

  • Day 5 San Pedro / Geysers / Towns / San Pedro

    Departure from the hotel at 4 A.M. towards the geothermal field of El Tatio - hot springs - located at 4.320 m.a.s.l. Breakfast picnic-style. Possibility to bath in the natural hot thermal pools (35 degrees). Transfer back to the hotel.

  • Day 6 San Pedro / Calama / Santiago

    Transfer to the local airport to fly back to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival.

  • Day 7 Santiago / Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales

    Transfer to the local airport for flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival continue transfer to Puerto Natales. Upon arriving in Puerto Natales, transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 8 Puerto Natales / Paine / Puerto Natales

    Today we will take a full day Tour of Torres del Paine: the tour starts very early in the morning from Puerto Natales. This tour covers a great portion of the park through the different roads that surround the mountain mass. Once in the National Park “Torres del Paine”, we will be able to enjoy its particular relief, rough geography, its lakes, flora and fauna, which make an ideal spot for the ecotourism and adventure sports practice. The amazing landscape is owed to the earth movements that took place 12 million years ago, which gave rise to amazing peaks like el Monte Paine Grande, Los Cuernos del Paine and Torres el Paine, where glaciers can typically be found. We will also visit the Nordenskjoldm Lake, from where the imposing “Cuernos”(horns) and its majestic landscape can be observed. Later on, we continue to the Grey Glacier, where we will make a walk by the lake, watching the glacier, and enjoying the sighting of the ice floes that are detached from the glacier.

  • Day 9 Puerto Natales / Punta Arenas / Santiago

    Transfer to local Airport in Punta Arenas to fly back to Santiago for your return home.
